Like that kid in the candy store, I was overjoyed to find a complete suite of Robert Kipniss’ “Interiors and Backyards” in my esteemed neighbor’s gallery, Covington Fine Arts in Tucson AZ. Mr. Kipniss’ work is a little more current than what Covington usually shows, so it was agreed that the lithographs should come next door to our place, Borealis Arts. As the conversation lengthened, it was revealed that a Kipniss oil on canvas was also available to the right buyer.
Now I’m sitting in the main room of our gallery, with four Kipniss lithos framed along one wall, and an absolutely sublime Robert Kipniss oil on the other. So as not to be accused of using this blog as a sales tool (you can accuse me of being a tool, though), I’m not posting any info about the artwork. I’m just so thrilled to be able to see these works everyday, that I had to share.
Thanks for sharing my excitement!
